1. The internal power supply of the electric vehicle controller generally adopts a three-terminal voltage regulator integrated circuit. Generally, it uses 7805, 7806, 7812, and 7815 three-terminal voltage regulator integrated circuits. Their output voltages are 5V, 6V, 12V, and 15V, respectively.

2. Set the multimeter to the DC voltage +20V (DC) gear position, and place the multimeter's black and red pens on the black and red wires of the handle, respectively. Observe whether the multimeter's reading matches the nominal voltage. Should not exceed 0.2V.

3. Otherwise, it indicates that the internal power supply of the controller has failed. Generally, a brush controller can eliminate the fault by replacing the three-terminal voltage regulator IC. [2]
